Hiking Day with Gurwinder Sandhu May 17 ,2025
We had an incredible hiking day today! After a 5km hike, the rain started pouring down, and we got soaked. We took shelter under a gazebo, where we met a group of five Iranians enjoying a picnic. They warmly welcomed us and offered us cake, which was a lovely surprise. Brar Saab started taking with them and surprised about our hiking. They are good swimmers and they do lot’s of swimming nearby tobarmory. So we had good topics to discuss. After some time when they offered Grey Goose, Shamsher bhai politely declined, saying we’re hikers and don’t drink. ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਬਰਾੜ ਸਾਬ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਛੁਰੀਆਂ ਚੱਲੀਆਂ 😜
We ended up cooking fish, which they tasted and enjoyed. We also made tea, which they really liked. In return, they cooked seekh kebabs and other delicious dishes. We even cooked fish again, and it was a wonderful bonding experience. We shared lunch together, chatting and laughing, and after lunch, they joined us for a short hike around the lake.
All in all, today’s hike was truly amazing, and we made some wonderful new friends. The hospitality and camaraderie made the experience even more special.
